Chabahar Port’s MRCC Saved Fishermen’s Life

In a 24-hour operation, the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) of Chabahar port saved 7 fishermen of a sinking boat which was flooded in waters in the gulf of Oman in coordination with the Iranian naval forces.

According to the public relations, Sayed Hasan Ebrahimi, the deputy for marine affairs of the Sistan and Baluchistan province Department of ports and maritime said that on 21st January 2018, upon receiving emergency report from a sinking fishing boat which was about to sink due to harsh weather 70 miles off the coast with 7 persons onboard, the Chabahar port’s MRCC activated the search and rescue operation plan in co_ordination with the Iranian naval forces and rescued all crewmember in a 24-hour operation and delivered them to the “Naji” vessel at Chabahar port.

“Ultimatelty, at 16:00 all crewmember retuned to their families in full health and safety, ending this 24-hour operation” According to the same report.
